Kristina Bachrach is a recent graduate from Mannes College. She has performed as a recitalist at the All Souls Unitarian Church, the New-York Historical Society, the Bechstein Institute, the Center for Jewish History, the Graduate Center of the City University of New York, and the Austrian Cultural Forum. In 2009 Ms. Bachrach performed with the Westchester Choral Society in Fauré’s Requiem, and in 2010 she sang with the Berkshire Bach Society in Bach’s Cantata Wachet auf. In the fall of 2009 she sang the role of the Flower Mask in the world premiere of Robert Cuckson's A Night of Pity. She has appeared in opera scenes as Euridice from Gluck's Orfeo; Ophélie in Thomas's Hamlet; and Marzelline in Fidelio with Mannes College and New York Summer Opera Scenes. A 2008 graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, she earned the Sara de Mundo Lo award for Outstanding Opera Performance for her portrayal of Sally Goodkin in Joseph Turrin’s The Scarecrow with Illinois Opera Theatre. Last summer she was a Marc and Eva Stern Fellow at SongFest at Pepperdine University,where she appeared in recital with Graham Johnson.
